Hello, welcome to Almost Crimes, black-math.org's music division. This is an mp3 rotation featuring really diverse, sometimes even bizarre music.

Here you will find japanese rock (jrock indies), alternative music of all kinds, anime soundtracks and a really long etcetera. So, if you feel like you need some new sounds to grace your ears, this is definitely your place.

Updates will be more or less once a week and you can request songs at x@black-math.org.

Legal stuff: you should delete the files after 72 hours. If you like the song, buy the record. You probably won't regret it.

Drama Special
In my blog I reviewed a the Korean drama (tv show) Sang-Doo, Let's Go to School. The drama isn't very good, but the OST kicks ass. Here are some highlights:

1. Beautiful Thing, by Popium
What does a Nowergian pop band has to do with a Korean drama? No idea, but they have a really nice 90's brit pop feel that makes me feel all nostalgic. Good stuff.

2. Silver Lining, by Popium
More Popium goodness. This song is even better than Beautiful Thing.

3. Baram Sok Eu Ro, by Lee Jung Yul
BEST SONG EVER!!! Italian mafia music sung in Korean. I jusr rewatched The Godfather, this song should have been in the soundtrack.

4. Sekai Ja Sore wo Ai to Yobun da ze by Sambo Master
This is the ending theme of one of the best Japanese dramas ever: Densha Otoko. If you haven't watched this drama yet, you fail at life.

2. Seishun Amigo, by Shuuji to Akira (Yamapi)
2005's hit Japanese drama, Nobuta wo Produce's theme song. Best drama EVER. This song was the best selling single in 2005.

Random ~~Hotness~~ Goodness

This time we have a man who is so sexy he can even make you like his ~~crappy~~ unique music. Allow me to introduce you to mr. Yamapi, aka Yamashita Tomoshisa ~~Ohmygodheissohot!!~~

His music isn't so bad. Give him a chance even if only because he has an awesome ~~body~~ voice.

The song this site is amed after. One of my favorite tunes ever.

Dance nostalgia by the italian DJ Gabin. Very Propellerheads-esque.

3. Asrum Dream, by Gackt
From the good times when Gack didn't suck. Old Japanese rock goodness.

4. Superhuman, by GusGus
5. Monument, by GusGus
Intelligent Dance Music from Iceland. Monument is a Depeche Mode cover that is far better than the original song :P

Awesome Japanese rock band. One of the best ever.

8. Arrepentimiento, by lucybell
Lucybell is a Chilean rock band with a very unique sound. I'm a huge fan of them.

From their album "I'm not a doctor". A classic.

10. Depois, by Pato Fu
Brazilian alternative pop.

11. Hikari wo hanatsu no Youni, by Zeri
12. Omocha no Pistol, by Zeri
Japanese punk. Very a la Ramones. Unlike most punk bands, these guys are very skilled musicians.
Don't get me wrong. I love punk (Sex Pistols, Ramones, Misfits and the like) But I can see it's not the most elaborate music, which is cool.

This is the first version of "Almost Crimes". I've always wanted to have a place to share the joy of music with the world.Oh, I'm like so kind!!

Our poster boy is Asuza, from the excellent manga Hot Gimmick. The title comes from one of my favorite songs ever: Almost Crimes by Broken Social Scene. If you've read Hot Gimmick you can probably guess why I chose the name.

I used Adobe photoshop to create the layout and ~~notepad~~, FoxEditor to code it (it rules). It's cross-browser compatible and should work fine on most screen resolutions.
